ZIMA Cover Illustration

Role: Editorial Illustration
Client: ZIMA Magazine

For the cover of Zima Magazine’s 2024 issue, I was invited to explore the theme of “Home,” a concept I’ve been delving into in my recent body of work. The illustration draws from my ongoing exploration of the emotional and physical spaces that define what “home” means, transcending its conventional boundaries.

Through rough textures and collage style, I aimed to evoke a sense of warmth and nostalgia, while also capturing the fluid and multifaceted nature of home. The image reflects the balance between home as a place of comfort and a space of personal identity, as well as layering of different menings of home - the place you've left and the place you currently inhabit.

The scene is set on an island, which encapsulates a moment of introspection and connection. This piece speaks to the universal yet uniquely personal interpretation of home—whether it’s a place, a memory, or a feeling we carry within.
